Wireless Networking!
Well I finally decided to change my home network to a wireless one, and I must say.... I am very glad that I have! My laptop was running as the web server, but this meant that it had to be on all of the time, and when I took it out with me, no one at home could use the Internet.
But with this new wireless system I have an ADSL wireless router which has replaced my old USB modem, and it is great. It automatically connects to the Internet whenever there is a request, and allows me to mooch around the house with both my Laptop and Palmtop using the Internet at my leisure!
I opted for Linksys hardware, and again I was very impressed with the ease of installation and general setup! It is great, and I would suggest it to anyone who is considering doing the same with their home network! The hardware cot me just under £100 which I thought was pretty reasonable! and affordable for most!
